About the Eastside corridor
The Eastside is the east-of-downtown association area on Rochester’s east side, in ZIP 55904. Local neighborhood boundaries run roughly from Silver Creek on the north down to 4th Street SE on the south, with the Federal Medical Center forming the eastern edge and Bear Creek the western one. Quarry Hill Nature Center anchors the area’s open space just to the northeast.
The Eastside mixes older east-side single-family stock with a meaningful band of apartment density. Combined with its proximity to the Mayo campus and the steady flow of medical-area renters, that produces a junk-removal demand that leans toward storage-unit clearouts, apartment cleanouts, and single-item furniture and appliance pickups more than the full-house estate work you see on Pill Hill. Mayo-driven transient renters cycling through town are a recurring source of lease-end and storage-locker clearouts here.
Bear Creek and Silver Creek thread through the corridor, and the older blocks have the standard mix of attached and detached garages. Most pickups are straightforward, with the apartment buildings needing elevator or stair coordination we plan at quote time.

Eastside area — common questions
Do you clear out storage units and apartments for people leaving Rochester? Yes — this is one of the most common Eastside jobs. Mayo residents, fellows, and contract staff cycling through Rochester often need a storage unit or apartment emptied fast at the end of a lease or rotation. We coordinate with the storage facility or building, clear the unit in one trip where access allows, and quote a flat rate up front. See our storage unit cleanout page.
Can you do single-item furniture or appliance pickups in the Eastside apartments? Yes. A lot of Eastside calls are one-item pickups — a couch, a mattress, an old refrigerator — from an apartment or a rental. Tell us the building, floor, and access (elevator or stairs) and we’ll send the right crew size. Refrigerant appliances route to MN-DNR-compliant recyclers.
